Position summary

Krutham is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to the financial success of our organisation at both a subsidiary and group level.

As an Accountant at Krutham, you will be responsible for the full management of the creditors function and cashbook processing, which requires accuracy and efficiency in the daily financial operations. In addition, you will work closely with the Financial Manager to support the preparation of statutory returns, monthly financial reports and annual budgets.

The ideal candidate should have excellent data entry skills with proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferably), the ability to produce work with high-level accuracy, professionalism, and organisational skills is a must.

Key responsibilities

(Included but not limited to):

  • Daily processing and monthly reconciling of creditors for payments, cashbook and general ledger.
  • Intercompany billings
  • · Assisting with the debtor’s function
  • · Assist in providing budget management and financial forecasting
  • · Assist in preparing financial reports
  • · Collaborating with Sales Support and Office Administrator for efficient workflow of document processing
  • · Ensuring annual financial audit readiness
  • Monthly Journal entry requests
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for reporting
  • Preparation for SARS statutory returns
  • Collaborating with the financial manager and external auditors within the group
  • Other ad hoc duties related to the role and department

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum three - five years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in payables, budgeting and accounting best practices
  • Experience with financial transaction reporting
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (e.g., Xero)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
